This morning, Steven Lachs was appointed as California's first openly gay judge, a revolutionary account, that some are praising and some are completely against. In this time and age, being homosexual is an end to a career and the dangers that spring from an open account are great, with the police, or people filled with hate. Yes, they exist, but sadly they have to remain unseen in order to protect themselves and have a somewhat normal life. Lachs' case opens a new life that could happen in the future. Homosexuals could be proud of who they are, instead of knocked down because of it. I personally can't wait for that day to come.

The rage of today is the Grateful dead and their 1979 Summer Tour. They play at Madison Garden tonight supposedly featuring some of their greatest hits; Mississippi Half-Step, Mama Tried, and Fire on the Mountain.
